Dedication Day 2021 - Save the Date

With public health conditions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic in Alabama steadily improving, plans are being made to proceed with an in-person event for KDS DAR School’s 2021 Dedication Day.

“We are optimistic that we will be able to safely hold our traditional events in the fall as we celebrate the school’s 97th Dedication Day,” said KDS Executive Director Heather Green.

The two-day event is planned for Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22 and will include the formal Dedication Day program, campus tours, classroom visits, student performances, and of course, the famous Basket Lunch.  The dates fall a week later than normal due to Fall Break.

“It’s important to continue to uphold the traditions that make KDS so special, but we are also mindful of the ways in which the pandemic has changed our world, so we will take every precaution to ensure the safety of our students and our guests,” Green said.  “We will closely monitor the recommendations of the CDC in the coming months and update our plans if changes are warranted.”
