Cross Country Runners Close Out Season with Honors

Two KDS DAR High School long distance runners have had a great year having recently won top honors at the Marshall County Cross Country Meet. Bailey Kendrick and Joy McBride won the individual varsity boys’ and girls’ championships. Both are underclassmen, and it is very special for two young runners from the same school to claim the titles.

Then on November 11th, the team competed in the Alabama State Cross Country meet in which Bailey earned 3rd place honors in the boys’ division and Joy placed 23rd in the girls’ division.

At the county meet, the KDS Varsity Girls Team finished as runner-up to Albertville. The team also finished 6th place overall in the State Meet. The group is very young and has a lot of promise for the future.

Congratulations to both teams on a great Cross Country season!
