KDS DAR High School students worked together throughout the month of February in support of homeless dogs through the Marshall County Humane Society Rescue Hearts of Alabama. The project raised $565 to go toward veterinary expenses and other needs to get dogs ready for adoption. In addition to the funds raised, this student-led community service project collected used sheets and towels that were requested by the organization. The KDS Family and Consumer Science students took part by making homemade treats for dogs that are rescued.
