KDS DAR School is a special place. It's a place where students are nurtured, challenged, and empowered to reach their full potential. But for some bright and deserving students, the dream of pursuing their educational goals beyond high school is just out of reach due to financial constraints. That's where you come in. Today, I'm writing to you to ask for your support of the KDS DAR School Scholarship Fund.
At KDS DAR School, we believe that every child deserves access to a quality education, regardless of their background. Our scholarship fund plays a vital role in making this belief a reality. It provides crucial financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic promise, strong character, and a genuine desire to learn.
Why Your Donation Matters:
Think about the impact you can have. Your contribution to the scholarship fund can and will make a direct impact on the life of a student.
Approximately $150,000 in scholarships is awarded annually, representing some 70 new scholarships and 50 renewals for graduates who maintain good grades and make normal progress toward completing their degrees.
There are two ways to establish a scholarship for KDS graduates:
Annual Scholarships: Funded and awarded yearly. These require a minimum donation of $550, which must be received by the KDS Administrative Office before April of the award year.
Endowed Scholarships: Funded by the income generated from a minimum investment of $10,000. This investment is managed conservatively, and only the generated income is used for the scholarship.
Dual enrollment scholarships are also available to help students complete their required high school coursework while receiving college credit, and we are currently offering four dual enrollment college courses on our campus, taught by our teachers.
