The recently announced Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) State Report Card for the 2022-2023 school year showed just how diligently the students, teachers, and administrators at Kate Duncan Smith DAR School have been working to further the educational success of students.
The state report card is based on indicators such as academic achievement, academic growth, graduation rates, college and career readiness, chronic absenteeism, and progress in English language proficiency. The reports for all Alabama schools can be found at https://statereportcard.alsde.edu.
The overall report card grade for KDS DAR Elementary shows an increase from 80 to 86 over the 2021-2022 school year, and the grade for KDS DAR Middle School increased from 78 to 85 over the same time period. Out of the eight high schools in Marshall County, KDS DAR High School ranked 3rd with a grade of 82. That is the highest score of any high school in the Marshall County School System.
Congratulations to all three schools’ faculty, staff, and students for their hard work to achieve these excellent scores.
