KDS DAR High School welcomed Kyle Davis to the position of head football coach on March 1st. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he will serve as driver education and health teacher. His first duty will be to take the Patriot football team through spring training in May, culminating with a spring jamboree game in Fairview, Alabama on May 19th.
Coach Davis grew up in Alexandria, Alabama, where he played on the school’s state championship teams in 1995 and 1997. He comes to KDS from Citronelle, Alabama, where he served as offensive coordinator. His most recent head coaching experience was at West End High School from 2014 to 2020. He and his wife have 8 children and reside in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
Coach Davis said he wants to be involved in the lives of his players both on and off the field. “Alexandria was a great place to grow up,” he said. “The coaches invested in us and sowed good things into us. I want to do the same. We want to have success in wins and losses. But we also want to build young men who become good husbands and good, responsible dads. It sounds like a cliché to say that, but that’s the pillar we want to build upon.”
