KDS welcomes Michelle Clay as the new Assistant Principal at KDS DAR Middle School. Michelle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Auburn University, a Master's Degree in Secondary English Language Arts Education from Auburn University, and a Master's Certificate in Instructional Leadership from University of West Alabama. She comes to KDS from Smiths Station, Alabama, but is originally from Boaz. She taught English at Smiths Station High School for two years, Smiths Station Junior High for two years, and Central Freshman Academy for one year. She also coached Volleyball, Tennis, and Cheer. Michelle is married to Michael Clay, a retired firefighter. They reside in Guntersville with their 12-year-old son, Casen, and 10-year-old daughter, Kolbie. Michelle states, "I am excited to be at KDS DAR Middle School. I love working here and everyone has been so warm and welcoming."
