July and August have seen a lot of renovation and new construction on our KDS campus. Work on the 100th Anniversary Project is well underway with the burying of conduit and the construction of the stone patio at the base of the bell tower. Crews will continue work on the project through the end of this year and into the next. Everyone at KDS is excited to see the new outdoor commons area taking shape. Renovations at the Nan Roberts Lane Chapel have also begun thanks to the generosity and support of the Alabama Officers Club. The pews have been removed and are currently being refinished. The hardwood floors are also being refinished, walls are being painted, and new carpet is to be installed. The newly renovated chapel will be dedicated this October as part of the Dedication Day festivities.
