Operation Save Teens is an age-appropriate education and awareness program designed to educate youth on the inherent dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. Program Presenter Lieutenant Mike Reese spoke to KDS DAR High School students on February 27th on the importance of making good choices.
Operation Save Teens was started in 2001 by the law enforcement division of the Alabama Beverage Control. The program was designed to educate students on the dangers of recreational alcohol and drug use with a heavy emphasis on the importance of choosing the right friends and making good decisions. Students receive education on varying topics including bullying, firearm safety, motor vehicles, misuse of social media, vaping and other self-destructive trends.
