The first ever Patriot Scramble Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, October 28 at 12 p.m. at beautiful Gunter's Landing Golf Course in Guntersville, Alabama. The weather was gorgeous, and more than 30 golfers enjoyed the day.
Congratulations to Ronnie Evett, Ryan Stewart, Jim Simpson, and Jake Bice on winning the 2023 Patriot Scramble. Ronnie Evett (KDS Class of 1992) also won the closest to the pin contest.
Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the Kate Duncan Smith DAR School Annual Fund which makes it possible for KDS to address the day-to-day maintenance needs of the 240-acre campus; to enhance the hands-on learning opportunities; and to actively fulfill the mission of providing opportunities for educational and personal growth for students, while emphasizing patriotism, responsible citizenship, and the historical legacy of the school.
