Kate Duncan Smith DAR School and the Gunter Mountain Chapter, NSDAR, will once again join together to present a Salute to Veterans program, honoring area Veterans. The program will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 9 AM at the Burkey Center Gymnasium on the campus of the KDS DAR School.
This year's program will feature many students of the school including members of the Gunter Mountain Society, Children of the American Revolution, 6th grade Junior American Citizens and others. Veterans will be recognized and honored with U.S. Flags with their names and branch of services attached. These Flags will be displayed on the lawn of the newly dedicated Campus Commons. Veterans and guests will be invited at the end of the program to take a memorial walk through the display of Flags. Everyone in our community is invited to come to honor our Veterans.
